Bexley grammar schools
The London Borough of Bexley has four grammar schools. Entry is through the Bexley Selection Test, sat in early September of Year 6.
The test
Bexley Selection Test
Two multiple-choice papers, about 50 minutes each. Set by Quest Assessments since 2026 (it was GL before). Verbal ability counts for half the score; maths is tested as numerical reasoning.

Based on last year's dates (September 2027 entry). Schools have not published dates for September 2028 entry yet, so always check each school's own website before you register.

- Townley Grammar School (Girls)
- The council says only about 30% of children who sit the test reach the grammar school standard.
- Registration runs for March only, with no late entries.
- The test is set by Quest Assessments, which also sets the Kent Test from September 2027, so many Bexley families sit both.
